Today we live in a global world. As such, we encounter many global families. We define such a family as having at least one spouse that is a dual citizen, a US citizen living abroad, or a non-citizen investing or living in the US. Under such settings, strategic wealth management can be greatly complicated. Indeed, income tax, estate planning, and investing often need to be done quite differently compared to the case of a US citizen simply living in the US.
